Be Well: Rockaway Surf Day

ABOUT

Be Well: Rockaway Surf Day features a 2 hour group surf lesson with local instructors, Paul and Farmy. We'll begin the day with yoga and prayer to arrive and open in our bodies, minds, and spirits. After our surf lesson, there will be time to purchase lunch with the vendors on the beach or feel free to bring your own. We'll have snacks and water. This experience is perfect for beginner surfers! We do ask that you already know how to swim. 

SCHEDULE

9:00 - 9:30am: Arrival 

9:30am - 10:30am: Yoga and Ceremony 

10:30am - 12:30pm: Group Surf Lesson

1pm - 3pm: Visit Beach Vendors for Lunch 

3pm - 4pm: Relax and Unwind

Programming ends at 4pm but folks are more than welcome to hang with us until sun down :-)

ABOUT YOUR GUIDES

Suanny Upegui, born in Choco, Colombia; Embera Dobida territory, is Founder of Casa Finca, activist, Community Organizer/bridge, Psycho-spiritual and Medicine Guide. Through ancestral and elders’ wisdom, she curates magical relational experiences that support the healing of our individual and collective consciousness. She hopes her services foster the internal and external health of the ecosystem and earth. 

Analise Samantha Delphine, a time traveler navigating archives, oral histories, and film for the sake of communal and familial healing. Ancient ancestral and circular storytelling provide an external sphere for her to break generational curses and preserve embodied practice. Analise is committed to embracing the multiplicity of existence for harmony. She is also the founder of Common Healing, a participatory world-building studio producing immersive and inspiring experiences that raise cooperative conciousness.
